Disinfection at a municipal swimming facility
A swimming-pool water sample passed five reported checks in a 2017 laboratory report.
Installation
The phase-two brief describes a 1,875 m³ swimming pool and a 500 m³ children’s pool, served by four Y-1000 units and one C-20 unit. The stated project duration is 45 days; this is not a long-term monitoring period.
Sample results
Report GG0422, issued on 1 November 2017, lists pH 7.56, turbidity 0.64 degrees in the report’s unit, urea 2.16 mg/L, total bacteria 248 per mL, and coliforms not detected. All five checks passed against the historical standard cited in that report. The report identifies chlorine dioxide as the disinfection method.
What the report establishes
The result applies to the submitted sample. It does not provide a before-and-after comparison, a Cryptosporidium assay or evidence of Cryptosporidium inactivation. Passing this 2017 sample test does not establish compliance with present-day standards in another jurisdiction.
